Big Ten Championship Rolling Trophy Stage
Southeast Staging designed and built a large rolling stage system for the Big Ten Championship postgame trophy presentation. The platform was engineered to support Indiana’s players, coaches, and championship personnel while also integrating a large LED display directly into the stage structure. The finished platform needed to provide both a strong visual presence for the live audience and broadcast while remaining mobile enough to transition efficiently on and off the field.
SES provided a stable, broadcast-ready centerpiece for one of the most important moments of the championship. The stage successfully supported the Indiana players as they gathered to hoist the Big Ten Championship trophy, while the integrated LED screen strengthened the visual presentation both inside the stadium and for viewers watching the broadcast. Its mobility also allowed the production team to move seamlessly from the conclusion of the game into the trophy ceremony without a lengthy setup or teardown interrupting the moment.
SES coordinated the design, fabrication, assembly, and deployment of the rolling stage within the event production schedule. Deliverables included the mobile stage structure, integrated LED support, safety and load considerations for a full team occupying the platform, and a rolling system that allowed crews to quickly position and remove the stage without disrupting the flow of the championship event.
The client needed a stage large and strong enough to safely support an entire championship team, visually impressive enough for a major televised event, and mobile enough to move across a football field quickly. SES solved all three challenges with a custom rolling platform that combined structural capacity, LED integration, and efficient field mobility into a single system.
